Equipping you through life's journey

Life can be a bumpy road at times, full of unexpected twists and turns, sometimes great and other times hard. Each of us are created unique and our journeys vary massively, so what each of us need for our journey will differ.

New Life's Hope Project aims to make the road a little smoother, tailoring support to your changing position, providing some of what you need to make your journey better.
Hope Parcels

Hope Project Support Parcels

Our Hope Project is funded by local people and businesses who donate what they can, when they can. Then in times of crisis, when the road is bumpy, local people know help is available in the heart of their community.

If you need equipping for a crisis, (as many of us will at some point) please reach out.

If you need an emergency food parcel, a Baby Care parcel, a Winter warmer parcel, or a few household basics, if we have it and you need it, our friendly team will arrange a time for you to pop along and collect it.

Donations needed:

  • Unopened / unused canned goods

  • Dry food

  • Household essentials

  • Toiletries

  • Good quality, pre-loved baby clothes / equipment

We rely on donations of good quality items to make this work. If you want to donate, please get in touch.

Swap Shop

Our Swap Shops are a great opportunity to swap preloved baby and toddler clothes for the next size up. These swap shops are usually held within our Newbies & 2bies sessions, where we have free baby and children clothes, equipment and toys from newborn up to 5 years.

We understand that baby and children's clothes can be expensive and they don't last long so why not come along and donate your preloved items. But don't worry even if you can't donate items, you can still take what you need.

Too Good to Throw Away Days

Our "Too Good to Throw Away Days" are an amazing opportunity to tackle unnecessary food waste, and prevent pre loved items ending up in landfill.

Come along and fill a bag with whatever you like. We have ambient foods (passed their best before date, but still comply with food safety standards) as well as children's clothes, shoes and baby equipment/items. We also stock some adults clothes, shoes and maternity wear, and occasionally some household items such as curtains.

Everything we offer is free and we are happy it has a new home. However, if you would like to donate to our charity, you'd be more than welcome to.

If you would like to donate items, you can pop them in our Hope Project collection points, or drop them into NLCC during our regular activities.

Help with Employment

Through our partnerships with organisations like Adult Learning Wales, Bridges into Work, GAVO and the local Job Centre, we have been able to support over 100 people on their journey to employment.

Through these partnerships we have been able to offer free or hugely discounted employability skills courses and qualifications such as; Food Hygiene, First Aid in the Workplace, Paediatric First Aid, Health and Safety training and more.

We also offer a limited number of work experience placements, and provide references. All our volunteers also receive free training on Child Protection and Safeguarding.

Dave, ex-RAF 30yrs

"My wife was critical in hospital for months, and I was looking after her, our 2 infant sons, and trying to save my job and home. The unconditional love and support from the Church over a very difficult Christmas was overwhelming, it bought a tear to my eye and I'm a bloke who doesn't cry."
